In order to keep some form of decorum in the #Armenia channel, and to maintain a happy, healthy, safe and welcoming environment, the following channel rules have been formulated, and must be abided by all users. These rules will allow everyone to enjoy the channel without feeling intimidated or threatened.

Just because something is not mentioned on this page does not mean it is not covered under the user rules.

Failure to read and/or abide by this rules page does not exempt you from being bound by it.

Channel Operators (the people with the "@" by their names) are chosen by the Channel Manager. Please comply with any reasonable request made to you by a Channel Operator.

#Armenia Channel Enforcement Policy: Penalties imposed on infractions.

These are general guidelines for punishments that will be invoked on offenders. They serve as a base guideline for the Operators who enable them. This is not a 'guideline to see what you can get away with. It is a guideline so you know what will be done.

EP1 - Private warning
EP2 - Public warning
EP3 - Kick
EP4 - Temp ban
EP5 - Ban
EP6 - Terminated

EP1 - Private warning
A Channel Operator will contact you in private at (or near) the time of the offence (or notification) and give you a friendly warning. This is the least severe of all actions and is the most common. If you've been contacted in this manner it's because you broke a rule you may not have (or may have) knew about.

EP2- Public warning
If you receive this warning the chances are you may have missed a private warning message in your IRC or, it's you're second offence if you had talked with a Channel Operator. It's a benefit of the doubt warning but it does call the offender to the scrutiny of the public.

EP3 - Kick
No longer a warning now, you've given a reality check. Chances are you've ignored the warnings, missed all attempts to warn you, or are being malicious.

EP4 - Temp Ban
Efforts to attempt a peaceful resolution of a channel problem have been fruitless. You've been being disruptive, uncaring for your fellow guests, disrespectful to Channel Operators/Staff, and/or are blinded by anger.

A time out or nap is needed. Think about things... Go have a smoke, take a walk, get a glass of water and watch some television. After the anger or 'being funny' has subsided you may want to come back and talk to a Channel Operator about why you were temp'd.

Evasion of EP4 may trigger EP5.

EP5 - Ban
All other attempts have failed. You've now graduated to a ban length of no less than 1 hour and no longer than 14 days. The length of this ban is determined by the severity of the reason and/or history of the offender.

EP6 - Terminated
Cannot interact well with others.
