Warning to users of McAfee VirusScan: We have received reports that Mcafee VirusScan Enterprise 8.0 considers IRC chat malware and blocks it by default. The person who reported this says "To access this chat you need to go into Viruscan Console and stop it from blocking IRC chat."
Windows XP Service Pack 2's firewall and other Personal Firewall Software such as ZoneAlarm may also prevent the applet from accessing the network. You'll need to tell your firewall to allow your web browser to make an outbound connection to irc.undernet.org port 6667.

Although you can chat on #Armenia right here with your web browser, IRC chat is best enjoyed with dedicated IRC software such as mIRC. This dedicated program makes chatting much more enjoyable and user friendly. This Java chat client works fine, but we've included it here mainly to whet your appetite. True IRC software is much cleaner, faster, and more powerful. You'll probably soon want to download dedicated IRC software to take advantage of all the bells and whistles they offer.
